Position: BOILERMAKER WELDER APPRENTICE 1.5
Location: HAYWARD
Classification: FULL-TIME / NON-EXEMPT
Summary/Objective
The Boilermaker/Welder Apprentice position must complete responsibilities delegated by the Operations Manager that include the service and repair of boilers burners and related accessories. This effort involves regular contact with the end users contractors Authorized Inspectors and also occasionally with specifying engineers who specify our equipment.
Our expectation is for the Boilermaker to be performing pressure vessel repairs general repair of boilers estimating service work keeping the scheduler of the work informed of daily work progress custodian of company truck tools equipment and supplies and the monitoring of his own billings costs and inventory. An inside administrative person provides office support for this position. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Must live in or around the Inland Empire Territory.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in internal and external environments which may include inclement weather conditions. Environment will include working with hot steam liquids tight spaces and other conditions depending on customer site(s).

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk hear listen bend squat walk lift pull push crawl climb stairs and drive various equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional travel work as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is required for this position to customer sites with out-of-area and possible overnight travel expected.
Travel is occasional to all RFMCo. office locations within its operating cities with out-of-area and overnight travel expected.
Required Education and Experience
Completed High School diploma or equivalent
Two years of technical school community college or trade school
Three years of related experience in similar industry.
Computer knowledge a plus.
Pipefitting experience is a plus.
