Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d) Rotational Rheometers
Site: Karlsruhe
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Hardware Design Engineer to join our development team for the next generation of high-precision rotational rheometers. In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic key components to enable ultra-low torque generation high-resolution axial force measurement and precise rotary encoder integration.
A particular focus lies in the circuit design for multiprocessor platforms based on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and real-time processors from the TI C2000 series. Your contributions will be vital to the performance and long-term innovation of our systemsused in sophisticated industrial and scientific environments around the world.
Your Responsibilities:
Design of analog digital and power electronic circuits for high-dynamic drive systems
Design and optimization of EMC-compliant motor power stages for PMSM and asynchronous motors to achieve very low torques and deformations
Development of signal conditioning and sensor electronics for high-resolution axial force measurement and optical encoder systems
Hardware design for multiprocessor architectures with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and TI C2000 real-time controllers
PCB layout and design using Altium Designer
System integration lab verification commissioning and user documentation
Close collaboration with firmware software and mechanical engineering teams
Technical coordination with external development partners and manufacturing service providers
Your Profile:
Degree in electrical engineering electronics or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience in developing complex electronic systems for measurement control or drive technology
Strong expertise in power electronics precise analog and digital circuit design and electric motor control (PMSM and asynchronous motors)
Practical experience with sensor systems signal processing and multiprocessor hardware development
Proficiency with EDA and simulation tools such as Altium Designer and LTspice
Solid understanding of EMC-compliant design and industrial manufacturing requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
