Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member in our AWS Central FP&A team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fastest growing business division within Amazon. This role will have broad oversight of AWS headcount and cost planning and will be responsible for providing actionable reports and insights to our leadership teams. This is a high-impact position that will have a front-row seat to the decisions being made by both AWS Business and Finance leadership.
Responsibilities include: (1) Create improve and maintain financial and headcount metrics reports and scorecards used for consolidated reporting. (2) Oversee and influence AWS headcount planning. (3) Partner with cross functional teams to streamline reporting infrastructure and automation and improve forecast accuracy.
The ideal candidate has FP&A experience and is decisive action-oriented and able to motivate and lead cross-functional teams. The right candidate has experience in consolidating large data sources into usable datasets and driving improvements to ensure that reporting can be done at scale. In addition this person must have strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate leadership strategies into actionable plans.
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 3 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - MBA or CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) - 3 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 3 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
