Job Description
Job Summary (List Format):
- Manages software acquisition including negotiation budgeting administration and compliance with licensing agreements.
- Monitors software licenses and usage to ensure compliance and maintain accurate records and inventories.
- Administers software change management and coordinates with vendors suppliers and service providers.
- Maintains and coordinates software assets for approved software.
- Responds to technical assistance requests regarding software assets via phone chat or email.
- Facilitates and assists with software requests for existing approved software.
- Researches and resolves software-related questions and issues.
- Advises users on appropriate software actions and solutions.
- Follows IT processes standards governance and procedures.
- Ensures complete resolution of user issues and follows up as needed.
- Identifies and escalates urgent situations requiring immediate attention.
- Tracks and documents problems requests and resolutions.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to communicate software status solve problems and implement changes.
- Maintains accurate documentation and records regarding software licensing and asset management.
- Balances prioritizes and organizes multiple tasks efficiently.
- Works independently with strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Uses IT ticketing service desk and asset management systems.
- Utilizes and supports Google Suite Microsoft Suite and ServiceNow.
- Demonstrates effective customer service communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Analyzes and interprets data related to software licenses costs and usage.
- Builds strong partnerships with business and technical teams.
- Preferred:
- Strong understanding of software licensing models and agreements.
- Familiarity with licensing metrics and legal terms.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills ability to identify trends and optimize licensing.
- Proficiency with software asset management (SAM) tools.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities with stakeholders and vendors.
