Job Description:
This role is critical to advancing enterprise-wide analytics at Delta Dental. The Expert Technical Specialist will partner closely with data architecture data engineering and business analytics teams to identify and implement machine learning (ML) use cases that address real-world business challenges.
The position sits within Delta Dentals Data & Analytics Center of Excellence responsible for executing the companys Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy fostering a data-driven culture governing data assets and enabling impactful business insights.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leverage deep expertise in Dataiku (and Azure ML) to support business data scientists in defining developing tuning and deploying ML models.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to data scientists and development teams on ML best practices.
- Act as Advanced Analytics Product Owner: identify and prioritize ML use cases track progress and coordinate resolutions.
- Drive governance around Advanced Analytics including legal and ethical AI/ML standards.
- Build validate and implement predictive models to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyze and improve current data processes and lead improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 7 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree
- Deep hands-on experience with Dataiku (5 years)
- Strong project leadership and collaboration skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences
- Skilled in mentorship and developing training content
- Excellent problem-solving documentation and presentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Azure ML experience
- Experience in business case and proposal development
- Background in healthcare or insurance domains
