Position: Senior Systems Administrator II - Desktop Support
Location: Springfield VA
Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (existing clearance required to start)
Additional Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
Seeking a career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Administrator II - Desktop Support to join our team in Springfield VA.
Serve as a Tier 2 member of an IT Enterprise Desktop Support team handling IT-related end client computing requests patching and deployment for enterprise systems
Plan receive prioritize document and actively manage end client computing support
Use common vendor-provided and custom internal tools to ensure consistent desktop configuration and end-user experience
Independently handle complex development requirements and support internally escalated tickets from the IT Enterprise Service Desk team
Support various systems and services including desktop operating systems high-performance graphic workstations thin clients conferencing systems printers scanners multifunction printers and cross-domain solution endpoints
5 or more years of experience in an enterprise IT desktop administrator role
Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Windows desktop platforms or ThinLinux
Experience providing desktop support for a variety of end-user computing platforms including thick thin and zero clients in both physical and virtual environments
Experience interacting directly with customers to accurately capture IT end-client computing requirements
Experience with installation configuration lifecycle management metering and monitoring of Microsoft and third-party application software
Experience with operating system and third-party patching including research testing installation troubleshooting and rollback
Experience maintaining solutions in secure processing environments in compliance with DISA SRGs and STIGs
Compliance with Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) System Administrator (451); Intermediate Level per SECNAV M-5239.2
One year of related experience may be substituted for each year of required education
Bachelors degree or one of the following certifications:
CompTIA Security CE
GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell for local and remote diagnostics and analysis
Understanding of basic networking troubleshooting
Experience supporting escalated tickets from a Service Desk team
Experience implementing troubleshooting and reporting for IAVAs and IAVBs
Familiarity with remediating IA and INFOSEC findings from tools like Tenable Security/CND
Experience using remote monitoring and management tools in a globally dispersed IT environment
Familiarity with secure processing environments in compliance with U.S. Government IA and Security standards (DISA SRGs and STIGs)
