We are looking for a talented Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to join Hazelwood Homes a leading construction company. As the CPO you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement process managing vendor relationships and ensuring cost-effective purchasing. This position is vital to our companys success as it directly impacts project timelines budgets and overall efficiency. You will be involved in a variety of construction projects from residential developments to commercial buildings contributing to our growth and reputation in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues promptly to ensure quality and delivery.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
- Analyze market trends and maintain awareness of industry best practices.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regulations and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement software and tools for efficient purchasing.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g. CSCP CPSM) is a plus.
