Job Description
Job Title: Inspector/Packer
Pay: $18/hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday Friday 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Location: Sand Springs OK
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inspector/Packer to support heat-forged rail track spike production in Sand Springs OK. This role is split evenly between inspection and packaging duties rotating on a formal schedule. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced production environment demonstrate strong attention to detail and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection Duties (50%)
- Visually examine forged spikes for surface defects such as cracks pits laps discoloration excessive scale or deformation
- Use fixed or preset gauges to verify spike dimensions and head shape
- Monitor product flow on the conveyor line and prevent or clear jams
Packaging Duties (50%)
- Operate automated filler equipment ensuring proper weight specifications are met
- Set and adjust load scales as needed
- Manually position and stack containers onto pallets
- Label containers accurately and maintain up-to-date production records
Additional Tasks
- Occasionally operate a forklift to move palletized kegs to designated areas such as docks shrink-wrap stations or temporary storage
Forklift training may be provided.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with a high level of focus
- Familiarity with basic measurement tools and gauges
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong work ethic dependability and team collaboration skills
