Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve Performance Targets
Consistently meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established in alignment with company goals. This includes sales volume customer engagement and account management metrics.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Building
Conduct daily visits to clients and prospects to strengthen relationships build trust and position the company as a reliable and strategic business partner.
- Sales Execution and Order Management
Secure customer orders in accordance with the pricing structure and policies provided by management. Ensure all quotations and agreements align with approved guidelines.
- Sales Support and Collaboration
Work closely with the Sales Executive team to support daily sales functions. This includes sharing client insights assisting in administrative duties and ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Strategic Business Planning and Execution
Propose actionable business development strategies focused on market expansion and revenue growth. Execute approved plans and monitor progress to ensure desired outcomes.
- Brand Promotion and Market Positioning
Actively promote the company s products and services as top-tier solutions in the relevant industry segments especially in infrastructure construction or government-related projects.
- Market Share Development
Design and implement initiatives aimed at increasing market share in key segments such as infrastructure development and maintenance projects.
- Credit Control and Account Management
Ensure prompt collections from clients and maintain a healthy debtor aging portfolio strictly following the company s financial and credit control policies.
- Market Intelligence and Opportunity Identification
Continuously monitor the market for emerging opportunities including new customer segments project tenders or industry developments that align with company capabilities.
- Reporting and Communication
Submit detailed weekly reports to management including client visitation summaries key discussion points market feedback and progress updates.
- Team Collaboration and Communication
Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with colleagues across all departments through clear and respectful communication.
- Management Support and Escalation
Seek guidance and escalate critical issues or complex challenges to management in a timely manner to ensure swift resolution and continued progress.
- Continuous Improvement and Feedback
Identify operational gaps inefficiencies or potential risks. Provide thoughtful recommendations for improvement to enhance overall effectiveness and productivity.
- Confidentiality and Professional Conduct
Handle all company information with strict confidentiality and act with integrity to safeguard the company s reputation and interests at all times.
- Flexibility and Cross-Functional Support
Be open to taking on additional responsibilities across other departments subsidiaries or associated companies as assigned demonstrating flexibility and team spirit.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Business Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in sales with strong track record in the building materials industry consistent performance in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide mentor and develop team members. Demonstrated success in leading and managing sales teams.
- Deep understanding of the infrastructure and construction sectors particularly involving materials such as concrete steel aggregates precast elements concrete piles or working with construction trading companies.
- Hands-on experience working with Sarawak government authorities and infrastructure contractors with solid familiarity with the construction markets in both Sarawak and Sabah.
- Capable of planning and aligning yearly business activities with performance targets in a structured and results-focused manner.
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills presentation and sales skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook).
- Highly self-driven disciplined and strategic with a growth-oriented mindset.
