Laboratory Operations Support Group Leader

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Laboratory Operations Group Leader to provide strategic and people-focused leadership within the US DMPK Department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic matrixed environment and is passionate about guiding teams driving cross-functional alignment and fostering continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to team members supporting their development performance and engagement.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture encouraging open communication knowledge sharing and accountability.
• Serve as a liaison between scientific teams global stakeholders and external collaborators ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency communication and adaptability.
• Monitor team training and compliance ensuring readiness and adherence to internal standards.
• Support strategic planning and resource allocation in collaboration with department leadership.
• Navigate ambiguity and evolving organizational structures with resilience and clarity helping the team stay focused and aligned.
• Represent the team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives advocating for team needs and contributing to broader departmental goals.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in the biotechnology pharmaceutical or CRO industries
• Successful leadership experience preferred including informal or project-based leadership
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset
• Experience managing or contributing to projects in a global matrix/team environment
• Critical thinker with the ability to identify risks resolve issues and support decision-making
• Skilled at prioritizing multiple initiatives while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships
• Ability to work independently using sound judgment and knowing when to escalate
• Collaborative spirit with a commitment to team development and knowledge sharing
• Quick to learn new systems and processes with a focus on continuous improvement
• Comfortable working under tight timelines and in evolving environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel Word)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

What to Expect in the Hiring Process: 

• 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
• 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
• 60 Minute Onsite Meeting with the Team 

Additional Details: 

This is a full-time onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Cambridge MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
