Summary of Job Duties:

The Graduate Assistant will assist the ATLE Co-Directors with administrative duties. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;

  • Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;

  • Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% - 20 hours per week/PT-25% - 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help maintain the ATLE office in Dickinson Hall;

  • Developing and keeping track of the ATLE library database and inventory;

  • Create and manage RSVP sign-in and survey Google forms for all ATLE events;

  • Help set up and arrange meeting room food and signage for in-person events;

  • Attend all ATLE events and record details about all attendees;

  • Generate semester reports about ATLE event attendance and survey responses;

  • Send weekly emails (with formatted infographics and ADA-compliant format) about upcoming events to the UA Little Rock faculty email list;

  • Develop and redesign the ATLE website as necessary;

  • Update the ATLE website when necessary;

  • (Wordpress training available if necessary) Social Media oversight;

  • Manage ATLE social media (Facebook Instagram Twitter). Monday Morning Mentor (MMM) program support;

  • Post information about ATLE events on social media;

  • Post screenshots and photos of ATLE events on social media;

  • Post summaries of and links to pedagogy-related articles;

  • Create two MMM reports each semester;

  • Check the MMM sign-up form;

  • Post announcement on Monday Morning Mentor Faculty Development Blackboard organization shell every Monday between 7 am and 8 am;

  • Grade weekly MMM quizzes;

  • Create the list of participants in Monday Morning Mentor from the previous week every Monday morning;

  • Help develop presentations on teaching and learning.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects;

  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as within a team with a goal-oriented approach;

  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision;

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with students;

  • Willingness to learn new tasks.
