Work Schedule: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors; occasional evening and weekend hours as needed; travel up to 3% of the work schedule which includes local (Twin Cities metro area) and national travel. Overnight trips average 1-2 trips per year.
Hourly Rate: $68000 - $73000.
Essential Job Duties:
- Technical Analyst Responsibilities:
- Research and recommend best practices and tools for Oracle Cloud application configuration.
- Establish and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations processes training materials and troubleshooting protocols.
- Design test and execute data uploads as required by institutional stakeholders.
- Coordinate and communicate system updates sandbox refreshes and Oracle Quarterly Updates across departments.
- Monitor Oracle Transaction Console and work with teams to resolve errors.
- Provide oversight and guidance for the development and management of the applications security architecture.
- Maintain user accounts and manage security roles for HCM and Finance applications per business owner requests.
- Schedule and manage system jobs to optimize system performance and minimize operational impact.
- System and database performance; collaborate with Oracle to resolve performance issues or outages.
- Serve as the primary troubleshooter for Oracle-related technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Ensure timely resolution of system maintenance challenges and support requests.
- Coordinate data refreshes for all Oracle sandbox environments and perform required post-refresh validations.
- Lead testing and communication efforts related to Oracle Quarterly Updates and other system changes.
- Participate in HESS Technical Group.
- Oracle Reporting Responsibilities:
- Develop reports using Oracles suite of analytical tools (OTBI - Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence BI Publisher - Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher and Oracle Fusion Analytic Warehouse).
- Utilize expertise in report writing and other Oracle analytical tools to support other functional areas within the College.
- Partner with business units to gather requirements develop reporting solutions and support data-driven decision-making.
- Promote services and represent the libraries and IT including creating media planning & working at events contributing ideas and helping the Events and Engagement committee to make the libraries a welcoming place.
- Support respect and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds values and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community.
- Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
- Reports to the Director of Enterprise Information Services.
- This position does not supervise staff or students.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in higher education.
- Experience: Experience working with Oracle Cloud and Oracle Cloud reporting (OTBI BI Publisher) is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science.
- Experience:
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture user security and data integrity.
- Proficient in technical documentation and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with report writing and analytics tools.
