Job Description

Fairmont the Red Sea located in the beautiful coastal city of Umluj Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Housekeeping to join our leadership team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our luxury property while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations ensuring exceptional cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance housekeeping efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Manage train and motivate a large team of housekeeping staff promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and resolve any issues promptly
  • Monitor and control housekeeping expenses including labor costs supplies and equipment
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to uphold luxury hospitality standards
  • Handle VIP guests and special requests with utmost professionalism and attention to detail
  • Ensure compliance with all safety health and environmental regulations
  • Participate in budgeting forecasting and long-term planning for the housekeeping department
  • Stay current with industry trends and implement innovative practices to enhance guest experiences

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping management at a luxury hotel
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management in a high-end hospitality environment
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests staff and other department heads
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office suite
  • In-depth knowledge of luxury hospitality standards and best practices
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality control processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills highly preferred
  • Experience in opening new luxury properties is a plus
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian hospitality regulations and Middle Eastern hospitality customs
  • Professional certifications in housekeeping management are advantageous


Additional Information :

  • Understanding of Ultra-Luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
  • experience in project coordination scheduling and document control during pre-Opening stages.
  • Experience in pre-Opening is a must.
  • A proactive anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with Luxury standards.
