Plan coordinate and deliver a wide range of hospitality events including open days school functions parent evenings guest lunches/dinners and high-profile receptions.
Liaise with school departments and external clients to understand event needs and translate them into high-quality hospitality experiences.
Manage and train front-of-house and hospitality staff ensuring consistent service excellence.
Oversee all event setup staffing schedules food presentation and service standards.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene health & safety and allergen compliance.
Manage budgets and cost control related to hospitality delivery.
Support daily catering operations when required particularly during peak times or staff absence.
Provide feedback and continuously improve hospitality processes and offerings.
Qualifications :
Essential:
Proven experience in a similar hospitality or events role (e.g. education hotels fine dining or corporate events).
Strong leadership and staff management skills.
Excellent organisational and planning ability with attention to detail.
High standards of presentation and customer service.
Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and health & safety procedures.
Flexible proactive and hands-on approach to work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
Hospitality or catering management qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 HND or equivalent).
Allergen awareness and Level 2 or 3 Food Safety certification.
Experience working in an educational or independent school environment.
Barista or silver service training
