Demi Chef (Part-Time):
As a Demi Chef you will have a genuine passion for first-class cuisine. You will help tell stories through food that indulge the senses and leave lasting memories. You will be passionate and creative in your approach to consistently producing high quality dishes that delight our guests. Your flexibility in adapting to special requests will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences that will see guests returning time and time again.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations
Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards ensuring quality presentation and consistency
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your section adhering to food safety standards
Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials working with premium locally-sourced ingredients
Support the kitchen team in training and mentoring junior staff
Ensure stock levels are maintained and kitchen equipment is in good working order
Breakfast Commis Chef (Full-Time):
As our Breakfast Commis Chef youll help start our guests day on the right note with beautifully presented fresh and flavourful dishes. Youll thrive in the early hours and enjoy working in a dynamic team that values quality precision and warmth in every interaction.
Please note: this role requires a 5:30am start time.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the breakfast service including food prep and plating to Accors quality standards
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
Work efficiently in a time-sensitive service window
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
Follow food hygiene and safety practices at all times
Qualifications :
What we are looking for (both roles):
Previous experience in a similar role (Commis or Demi Chef)
Trade qualified - Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
A passion for food and a creative flair
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Excellent communication and time management skills
Team-focused attitude with motivation energy and a desire to grow
Flexibility to work a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays
For the Breakfast Commis Chef role ability to reliably start at 5:30am
