What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Insurance Program Oversight

  • Manage all aspects of the companys global corporate insurance programs including:
    • Property & Equipment
    • Product Liability
    • Auto Fleet
    • Workers Compensation
    • General & Excess Liability
    • Directors & Officers (D&O)
  • Lead annual renewals broker RFPs and policy reviews.
  • Work closely with brokers underwriters and risk advisors to tailor programs for the companys evolving product and operational risks (e.g. EVs autonomous systems direct to consumer / retails sales special events and projects etc.).

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

  • Identify assess and prioritize risks across manufacturing plants logistics and product development.
  • Design mitigation strategies in collaboration with key departments such as Safety Quality Engineering Compliance and Legal.
  • Lead development of risk dashboards and reporting for executive review.

Claims Management

  • Oversee all claims processesfrom workplace injuries and fleet incidents to major property and liability claims.
  • Work with Legal and HR to ensure timely reporting and resolution.
  • Analyze loss trends and develop loss control initiatives in partnership with Safety and Operations teams.

Supply Chain & Contractual Risk Transfer

  • Evaluate supplier and logistics partner contracts for appropriate insurance provisions indemnities and risk allocation.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure insurance compliance with global and regional automotive industry standards including FMVSS ISO/TS 16949 and other OEM-specific requirements.

Financial Stewardship

  • Support preparation and management of the insurance and risk management budget.
  • Forecast premium costs monitor deductibles/self-insured retentions.

Leadership

  • Manage a team of risk and insurance professionals.
  • Provide education and training on risk awareness across operational team members of the organization.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia SC.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.

  • Bachelors degree in Risk Management Business Finance Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 810 years of experience in corporate risk and insurance management
  • In-depth understanding of product liability industrial safety and logistics exposures.
  • Experience managing insurance programs in the United States.
  • Strong analytical negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with claims analytics insurance systems and risk modeling tools (e.g. RMIS Excel Tableau).

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $120000.00 - $145000.00
