Job Summary

The Machine Operations / Tooling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the design production maintenance and repair of tools dies molds fixtures and other equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role ensures that tooling meets customer specifications and quality standards coordinates with other departments to optimize tooling performance and efficiency and manages a team of machine operators and toolmakers.

Job Description

The Supervisor Machine Operation oversees the work of Machine Operators and Tool makers.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position is responsible for managing the operations and providing supervisory oversight of the Toolroom Machining group and the Press Department.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the assembly team to meet daily production targets.
  • Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Monitor workflow assign tasks and adjust staffing as needed to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and support.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure products meet specifications.
  • Communicate production issues or delays to supervisors and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output attendance and incidents.
  • Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots any issues that arise.
  • Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure any paperwork needed is completed and signed correctly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.

Knowledge & Experience
Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling prioritizing coaching and process execution. Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline
Typically has a bachelors degree or equivalent professional certification and 3 years of prior relevant experience
