Senior Consultant Incident Manager

The Incident Response team leads the response and resolution of major incidents to minimize business impact and restore services quickly. The successful candidate serves as the central point of contact during critical events coordinating across teams and stakeholders.

Additionally these individual drives root cause analysis and process improvements to strengthen incident response and prevent recurrence.

Major Duties:

  • Manages and triages incident command centers (in collaboration with Technology) to appropriately respond and recover from operational and / or technology-related incidents

  • Collaborates with enterprise teams to provide threat and vulnerability monitoring from our technology platforms and any market infrastructures

  • Supports the development and update of incident communication templates to be used for providing stakeholder updates on real and/or potential business-impacting events

  • Supports post incident assessments documenting results of assessment and tracking follow up deliverables identified including analysis root cause and immediate remediation

  • Provides Incident Management stakeholder training as needed

  • Works within the team to ensure that operational productivity and volatility metrics are in place to manage Business Reporting / Escalation of Incidents to Senior Management and Resiliency Office

Experience/Knowledge:

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required

  • 3-5 years knowledge of crisis management disaster and business recovery and continuity management

  • Understanding of risk management practices including cyber security and how they apply in Financial Servicesorganizations including the impact of regulation on operational resiliency matters

  • Experience supporting the implementation of projects and working with cross-functional teams

  • Knowledge of key NT technologies such as Fusion Service Now and Configuration Management Databased (CMDB)

  • Strong understanding of data analytics and related tools including Power BI

  • Strong collaboration communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to drive to execution

  • Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance

*Please note that at Northern Trust we operate a hybrid model with 3 days in office each week as standard. Due to the nature of the work and follow the sun model adopted by this specific team remote working may be approved for the successful candidate.

Salary Range:

$83100 - 141300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
