The Northview Senior Citizen Center is one of the largest in West Michigan with an active and engaged group that is open to all senior citizens. We offer a broad spectrum of programming from weekly classes to monthly activities to lectures outings and day trips. We believe in life-long learning and cultural experiences. In turn we are seeking a Part-Time (12-15 hours per week-FLEXIBLE) Program Assistant.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Professional experience in administrative support.
Skills:
- Skilled in using or willingness to learn Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Highly organized with effective time-management abilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and multitask.
- Strong customer service focus. Experience supporting the senior population is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Program Director and Lead Program Assistant including handling phone calls voicemails emails inquiries and program registrations.
- Support event coordination by assisting with programming and escorting participants as needed.
- Ensure effective communication between staff and senior participants across multiple platforms.
- Assist with financial operations such as processing payments issuing refunds and managing deposits.
- Occasional public speaking and addressing large groups.
