Your future duties and responsibilities:
Development optimisation and maintenance of SAP applications with a focus on ABAP and ABAP OO and S/4HANA environment
Analysis of technical requirements and implementation in high-performance maintainable solutions
Close cooperation with specialist departments for the technical implementation of business processes
Carrying out code reviews quality assurance and documentation of developments
Support with SAP Basis topics such as transport management performance tuning system monitoring and authorisation analyses
Support and further development of audit log mechanisms and firefighter access within the scope of security-related requirements
Participation in system upgrades migrations and integration of new technologies into the existing SAP S/4HANA landscape
Developing and maintaining OS-related tools and automation scripts (e.g. Unix shell scripts Python) to support SAP and system processes
Analysing and processing database content using SQL and helping to optimise database access
Seven years of experience in object-oriented development with ABAP / ABAP OO ideally in an S/4HANA context
In-depth knowledge of report development interfaces (IDoc RFC BAPI) forms (SmartForms Adobe) and enhancements (user exits BAdIs)
Experience with SAP authorisations role and user management and security-related processes (e.g. Firefighter audit logs)
Basic understanding of SAP Basis topics such as system architecture transport system logs and performance analysis
Initial experience with SAP GRC (e.g. Access Control) is an advantage
Knowledge of creating Unix shell scripts and automation with Python to support technical processes
Confident handling of relational databases and good SQL skills for analysing and optimising data access
Experience in debugging error analysis and performance optimisation of complex SAP systems
Structured team-oriented and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility
Very good English skills Good to have German spoken /written skills - though not a must
