This is a fully remote position open to residents across Canada can be based in any city province or territory.

Role: Payroll Specialist
Location: Remote open to any Canadian resident
Team Size: 60
Experience: Ideal candidate would have experience managing multiple clients payrolls

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for delivering a great client experience that results in strong and lasting client relationships. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Review prepare and draft client payrolls including on-boarding and off-boarding of employees wage changes and other pay elements for final client approval and processing
- Oversee complete end-to-end payroll processing including provincial and year-end tax reporting and filings
- Audit and review payroll details for inconsistencies reporting and reconciliation
- Provides timely responses to client questions and manages client expectations
- Identify issues and errors investigate discrepancies discuss with supervisor or engagement partner and development resolutions
- Provide coverage for colleagues as needed
- Contribute to innovation which may include initiating process improvement documenting new or updated procedures developing standardized templates and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR*
- Payroll Compliance Professional designation or equivalent experience
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision but willing to ask questions or obtain assistance when needed
- Youre skilled in learning new programs and systems
- You have strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing priorities
- You have a passion for excellent client services
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal
