Pharmacist Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies and replaces outdated/unusable drugs as documented on unit inspection forms.
- Verifies the daily activities of Pharmacy Technicians. Participates in the performance appraisal of Pharmacy Support personnel.
- Organizes and prioritizes work assignments. Ensures Pharmacy services are provided in a timely manner as evidenced by lack of complaints.
- Participates in department quality programs as evidenced by documentation of meeting attendance and reports produced. Orders items that fall below par levels or special ordered items.
- Demonstrates knowledge of vendor order and return procedures for outpatient Pharmacy areas as evidenced by a lack of stock outs and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Experience:One (1) yearof experience working in a hospital as an Oncology Pharmacist.
- Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.
- Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
