Job Description
Saratoga Medical is hiring a Medical Supply Technician in Palo Alto CA and as needed Livermore CA. Package includes competitive rate paid time off and benefit options.
Saratoga Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Supply Technician at Palo Alto CA and as needed Livermore CA. This is a great full-time opportunity 36 - 40 hours work week schedule Monday to Friday excluding Federal holidays. Position Summary:
- Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) services are required to support the clinical operations at VAPAHCS. The technician is responsible for cleaning decontaminating preparing sterilizing storing and distributing Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) in accordance with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) protocols and infection control standards. These services are critical in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patient care.
Qualification:
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Supply Technician in Sterile Processing Services (SPS)
- Proficient in:
- Decontamination preparation and sterilization of surgical and medical instruments
- Operation of sterilizers (V-Pro Max 2 Sterrad Steam Sterilizers) and automated washers
- Knowledgeable in:
- VHA policies and procedures
- Infection control principles and safety standards
- Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing workload priorities
