Job Description

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Cafeteria Manager (Director of Food Services if needed) the Cafeteria Worker performs a variety of tasks associated with the daily operation of the cafeteria. Middle/High School reports 5 days a week 9:30 to 12:30PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Assists Cafeteria Manager with daily production of breakfast lunch snacks and any catering events; prepping cooking merchandising serving cleaning forecasting etc.2. Prepares food according to the planned menu and standardized recipe3 . Serves accurate servings of each product according to the National School Lunch and Breakfast Nutrition Standards. 4. Assists in the daily cleaning of all kitchen areas including washing and sanitizing of all serving prepping and storage areas5. Serves as cashier at designated lunch periods including daily reconciliation of revenue and meals served ability to correctly identify reimbursable meals enforcing meal charging policies accurately checking trays for students with known allergies6. Replenishes food snack items and beverages before during and after lunch periods as needed7. Cleans kitchen equipment and storeroom at regularly scheduled intervals as determined by the Cafeteria Manager or Food Service Director8. Performs other duties required for the safe and orderly operation of the food service program9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager and/or Director of Food Services10.180 School Days 9:30 am - 12:30 pm ABILITY TO:1. Perform a variety of tasks and assignments promptly and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs2. Work as a member of a team to provide excellent products and services3. Demonstrate pleasant customer-oriented interpersonal and communication skillsQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma
