Summary: Join our team as Processing Technician 1 and dive into the exciting world of herb processing! In this hands-on role youll be responsible for milling and mixing fresh and dry herbs with solvents to create captivating macerates pressing and filtering to extract potent essences and compounding unique herbal formulations. Youll also monitor and maintain production equipment ensuring a safe and sanitary environment that adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following other duties may be assigned:

• Processing tasks of grinding raw herbs pressing filtering stirring and shaking extracts
• Ability to mix herbs with solvents according to prescribed formulary
• Responsible for completing data entry and documentation
• Ensures all equipment is operating optimally
• Ability to detect issues and troubleshoot
• Responsible for completing accurate documentation and data entry
• Promotes a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs
• Ensures a safe work environment by following and enforcing all safety rules maintaining strong safety awareness participating in required safety training and meetings
• Fosters teamwork and collaboration

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• At least six months of related experience in manufacturing

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to carry out detailed oral and/or written instructions
• Ability to exercise judgement and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must pay close attention to detail
• A pre-employment physical is required prior to employment
• Portions of this position is in a cGMP area therefore masks lab coats and hair/beard nets must be worn. No makeup perfumes acrylic or artificial nails or jewelry allowed in cGMP work areas
• Participates in all team meetings sharing ideas on continuous process improvement with the supervisor and team members

Requirements: Candidates must possess strong mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions area circumference volume and percentages as well as apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. This is a very physical position that requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs with heavy lifting involved in the processing tasks. The work environment can be noisy necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces. A pre-employment physical is required. Additionally candidates should have the ability to read analyze and interpret general business SOPs and technical procedures as well as write reports and procedure manuals. Strong reasoning skills are essential for solving practical problems and navigating situations with limited standardization. Finally effective interpersonal skills are crucial for organizing and communicating thoughts clearly understanding communications from others and maintaining composure in a dynamic work environment.
