The salary scale for Professional Support 4 is based on steps that range from $74104.27 - $98521.32. New Professional Support may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant occupational experience which is $86294.89 annually.
One position will be responsible for each of the following regions:
These are onsite positions and you will be prompted to select the location(s) that you would like to be considered for in the pre-screening questionnaire (completed through the application process on Career Beacon). You will be located at one of campuses within the region and regular travel will be required within your assigned region. Reporting to the Manager Student Services with a functional reporting line to the Manager Student Care and Community Standards you will:
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
Complex case management adhering to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
Creating monitoring and evaluating safety and care plans.
Mental health and accessibility.
Using trauma informed care for support.
Using intervention techniques conducting assessments and understanding the interpretation of psychosocial assessments.
Working collaboratively to create solutions using a strengths-based framework.
Working with confidential reports and documentation.
Experience in a post-secondary environment would be an asset.
Experience with education/program development implementation facilitation and evaluation would be an asset.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and email.
You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.

As a condition of employment Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete a part-time adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary full or part-time Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full-time Professional Support employees whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
