Job Summary:

As an Operations Quality Engineer I you will be working hands on with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment with plenty of challenging opportunities supporting production. You will be working directly with our manufacturing processes products first article inspections creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions and preparing for audits. Your knowledge and experience will be valued and contribute to furthering the success of Raytheon to deliver quality product to our customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process.
  • Supporting production first article inspections and preparation for audits.
  • Creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions.
  • Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual technical industry AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies.
  • Daily status meetings with internal stakeholders to manage issue and weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality.
  • Supporting strategic efforts that meet the quality department goals.
  • Support failure analysis Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations including identifying non-conformances providing solutions tracking issues to closure.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree with a major in engineering.
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives) clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse Root Cause and Corrective Action Process
  • Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
  • Experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills

  • Onsite role in Tucson AZ
  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production employees as they are essential to the development of our products. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
  • This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) an agency of the Department of Defense handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. More information about Security Clearances can be found on the US Department of State government website here: salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
