Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm.
Expected Starting Wage: Anticipated at $32 - $35 Hourly depending on experience.
What You Will Be Doing:
The School Security Officer will roam and patrol the school and grounds using environmental awareness and visual and verbal cues to protect the students staff and visitors and uphold the rules of the business.
The position includes the following duties:
- Guard the interior and exterior of the building during staff closing procedures.
- Observe actions from the parking lot and patrol the school and grounds each hour to check for suspicious or unsafe behavior.
- Consistently remain accountable to routine business duties that are repetitious. (Ability to complete job tasks with limited oversight.)
- Monitoring surveillance equipment including CCTV guarding gates/entry points and verifying visitors.
- Use superior customer service to address students staff and student issues daily.
- Willing to take direction from leadership with a friendly and customer service-oriented attitude and achieve job duties set forth at the school by Code 4 Management.
- Follow all Code 4 established processes HR guidelines and complete duties as stated in the SOP.
- Uses Code 4 technology platforms including scheduling software to stay current on all information and direct students staff and visitors appropriately.
- Adheres to all Use of Force law in the State of Colorado and internal Code 4 Use of Force procedures and standards.
- Patrol school grounds in vehicle and/or by foot checking for suspicious behavior.
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and Code 4 rules as outlined in the HR Policy Manual.
- Additional duties deemed necessary by Senior Management
3 to 5 years of military law enforcement and armed security experience.
Current or previous Colorado POST Certification.
Successfully complete company pistol certification.
Able to successfully complete a psychological evaluation.
Working knowledge of computer and technology skills to operate innovative wireless technology.
CPR & BLS preferred.
Previous Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) preferred.
Knowledge and training in Workplace Violence (Active Aggressor Training) preferred.
Previous SRO or SSO experience preferred.
Excellent Customer Services and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
