Does expansion of Amazons multi-billion dollar pre-owned business into new geographies excite you Do you want to lead impactful initiatives like launching new product types scaling operations and shaping the future of sustainable commerce as a Senior Program Manager

Amazon Resales vision is to Be the preferred destination for customers discovering and buying preowned products. Through this program we sell millions of quality open-box and customer returned products each year. This business is poised for significant growth as we expand to new markets and enhance our operational capabilities worldwide.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of new condition types/categories for Amazon Resale working closely with business legal and operations teams to define standards and processes

Drive geographic expansion initiatives including detailed analysis and execution plans for launching Amazon Resale in new countries

Own deep-dive analysis of existing markets (like CA) to identify opportunities for business optimization and growth

Design and implement strengthened operational mechanisms internally and collaboration with stakeholder teams

Build and scale robust escalation management programs to ensure operational excellence

Partner with senior leadership to develop strategic narratives and secure resources for key initiatives

Drive quarterly business reviews and operating planning cycles to report progress and impact

Lead cross-functional projects working with Product Engineering Operations Marketing and other stakeholder teams

A day in the life
Start your day reviewing operational metrics across North American markets and addressing any WW escalations requiring immediate attention. Join a morning sync with EU stakeholders to discuss the rollout of new condition types in Germany. Lead a working session with the Canada team to deep-dive into performance opportunities. After lunch facilitate a cross-functional workshop to design improved escalation processes. Get into a focus time mode to author high quality geographic expansion documentation for upcoming leadership reviews. End your day aligning with Product and Engineering partners on system enhancements to support new operational mechanisms while keeping an eye on real-time business performance dashboards.

Your day combines strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving requiring you to seamlessly switch between long-term planning and day-to-day execution while working with diverse teams across multiple time zones.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience defining and executing program requirements
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables & charts multiple criteria lookups nested logical/IF formulas data cleansing array formulas etc.)

- Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Knowledge of reverse logistics or recommerce operations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
