Seeking Licensed Psychologist Federal Contractor Opportunity (Remote/Virtual Work)
Contract Position Remote Part-Time or As-Needed Competitive Pay
About the Opportunity:
- Augustine Angels is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to conduct psychological evaluations for law enforcement candidates applying to become Federal Wildlife Officers with the U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service.
- This is a remote contract position with flexible scheduling. Evaluations will be conducted virtually and must include testing clinical interviews and written professional reports for each candidate. This is an ideal opportunity for psychologists with experience in forensic clinical or pre-employment evaluations for public safety/law enforcement roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations (test interview) for law enforcement applicants.
- Assess psychiatric substance use and medical history.
- Evaluate cognitive emotional and behavioral functioning including:
- Social competence
- Impulse control
- Emotional regulation
- Decision-making
- Stress tolerance
- Risk for substance abuse or other behaviors
- Prepare and submit professional written assessments with suitability recommendations.
- Screen for clinical psychopathology and other risk indicators.
Qualifications:
- Active license as a psychologist or psychological examiner in any U.S. state.
- Strong background in psychological testing and interpretation.
- Experience conducting evaluations for law enforcement military or high-security positions is preferred.
- Familiarity with conservation/law enforcement work is a plus.
- Must be able to conduct interviews and evaluations virtually.
- Must be available to meet tight deadlines (August 15 and October 1 2025).
Contract Details:
- Remote/telehealth format.
- Flexible hours work is based on referrals and caseload.
- W-9 or 1099 contract structure.
- Pay is competitive and negotiable based on experience and caseload.
