Job Description
Overview
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Desktop Deployment Technician in Downers Grove IL. It is a contract position with 6 months to start with strong potential for extension. This position offers benefits!
This is a hands-on role involving repeatable tasks equipment handling and excellent end-user support. WIN10 deployment experience is highly preferred. If youre a great communicator with a solid technical foundation we want to hear from you. A certification is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Windows 10 deployments across user environments
- Perform routine desktop support tasks (e.g. hardware refreshes software installations imaging)
- Provide technical support for desktops laptops printers and other peripheral devices
- Document processes and follow established protocols for ticket resolution
- Support general IT needs and troubleshoot as needed in a team-based environment
- Lift and move IT equipment up to 30 lbs. and operate carts for hardware transport.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of IT or desktop support experience
- Familiarity with Windows 10 environments (deployment or support)
- Experience in enterprise desktop rollouts or refresh projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on repeatable and task-oriented assignments
- Comfortable with physical aspects of the job (bending lifting mobility).
