Job Summary

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides immediate medical care and emergency response for guests and staff during haunted house events. The EMT ensures a safe environment by responding quickly to injuries illnesses or emergencies and by supporting the venues overall safety protocols. This role requires professionalism calm under pressure and a commitment to guest and staff well-being before during and after event hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Emergency Medical Response:
  • Provide immediate assessment and care for injuries illnesses and medical emergencies occurring on-site.
  • Administer first aid CPR and other life-saving interventions in accordance with EMT protocols and venue policies.
  • Coordinate with local emergency services (e.g. EMS fire police) for advanced care or transport as needed.
• Incident Documentation & Reporting:
  • Accurately document all medical incidents injuries and treatments provided using venue-approved forms and protocols.
  • Collaborate with event management to ensure all injury and incident reports are completed promptly and filed for the venues records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all medical and incident documentation following legal and organizational requirements.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with management security and operations staff to coordinate emergency responses and ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Communicate clearly with guests staff and emergency responders during incidents providing updates and instructions as needed.
  • Participate in pre-event safety briefings and post-event debriefings to review incidents and improve emergency protocols.
• Safety Monitoring & Prevention:
  • Conduct routine patrols of the venue to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Support the implementation of the venues Emergency Action Plan and participate in ongoing emergency response training.
  • Assist with pre-event safety checks and ensure medical stations are fully stocked and accessible.
• General Support:
  • Provide medical standby coverage before during and after event hours including setup and post-event breakdown.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support overall venue safety and operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current and valid EMT certification (state or national as required by local regulations).
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
• Documented emergency response training and experience in a fast-paced or public event setting.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience providing medical support at public events or entertainment venues.
• Familiarity with haunted attraction or themed entertainment environments.
