AT&T is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for the development and enhancement of the AT&T Mobile App.
As a Lead Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining innovative solutions that enhance the user experience for millions of AT&T customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead mentor and inspire a team of software engineers by providing technical guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
- Software Development:
- Design develop test and deploy high-quality scalable and secure front-end systems.
- Collaborate closely with product managers UX/UI designers and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Implement best practices for software development including code reviews automated testing and continuous integration.
- Architecture and Design:
- Define and drive the technical architecture and design of the AT&T Mobile App ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and frameworks to enhance the apps functionality performance and security.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software by implementing comprehensive testing strategies and addressing technical debt.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of the mobile app identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Innovation and Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in mobile app development.
- Drive innovation within the team by exploring new tools techniques and methodologies to improve development processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related experience/field.
- Experience:
- 8 years of professional experience in software development with a focus front-end microservices and Object Oriented coding concepts
- 3 years of experience in a leadership or senior engineering role.
- Senior level technical professional with at least 8 years of experience in:
- React Native
- Subject matter expert in Mobile Application development
- API Services
- Software Development:
- Design develop test and deploy high-quality scalable and secure front-end systems.
- Collaborate closely with product managers UX/UI designers and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Implement best practices for software development including code reviews automated testing and continuous integration.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend engineers backend engineers DevOps and QA to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders providing regular updates on project status risks and dependencies.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Technical expert in React Native iOS & Android Development and API services.
- Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories provide estimates create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
- Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.
- Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects clients etc. to validate test environments test data and test results design and implement code fixes validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.
- In addition to Unit Test responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing interface testing integration testing end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing.
- Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues.
- Supports the software deployment process.

Our Lead Software Engineering earns between $128400.00-$192600.00 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography experience expertise and education/training.
