- 4 10-hour shifts
- 6:30am-5:00pm

Responsibilities
- Assesses the needs of patients and families providing appropriate teaching and making the necessary referrals to provide continuity of care.
- Develops an individual plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and health care team.
- Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patients care.
- Assess and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patients and their families age specific needs culture gender readiness to learn and level of comprehension.
- Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
- Demonstrates and maintains proficiency in the manual skills and techniques required to operate specialized equipment in the Electrophysiology lab including but not limited to the following:
- Point of care testing: activated clotting times (ACT) oxygen analysis
- EP specific monitoring system
- EP procedure equipment/supplies
- Cautery
- Anesthesia equipment
- Pacemaker/defibrillator equipment/supplies
- Aseptic technique
- Advanced Hemodynamic monitoring
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Diploma from an RN program.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Sedation Certification within orientation period.
- Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities.
Preferred:
- Eletrophysiology and/or Cath Lab experience.
- Strong knoweldge of cardiac anatomy rhythm interpretation and EP prodedural support.
