You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailGeneral Summary of Duties: Responsible for overseeing poker tournament operations and ensuring property goals as they pertain to a poker tournament.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands: Requires prolonged standing and mobility; ability to converse; intermediate math skills; eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; communicates directly telephonically and electronically with general public management and staff in English; requires normal vision and hearing range; understands and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures job description and other instructions.
Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed on the casino floor in the tournament location and in an office environment; heavy guest contact required; constant contact with staff and other departments; ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level temperature and illumination.
Example of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
Performance Requirements (knowledge skills and abilities): Ability to read write and speak in English; proficiency and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; display a high level of confidentiality and integrity at all times; capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease; possess effective listening skills intermediate math skills and a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the poker tournament approved submission; establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) management staff co-workers and guests; working knowledge of skills of positions under supervision; have the ability to work in a stressful high volume energetic atmosphere and provide impromptu training; possess analytical thinking coupled with open mindedness to assess situations to make decisions to resolve outstanding issues; ability to follow and give directions; and ability to work flexible shifts.
Qualifications: High school diploma/GED required as well as prior poker supervisory experience within the Gaming Industry.
Certificate/License: Level 2 Occupational License with Illinois Gaming Board.
