Join a dynamic team at the forefront of innovation in the Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) department at Collins Aerospace where the Materials Laboratory plays a critical role in supporting product integrity across the enterprise. As a Lab Technician youll contribute directly to engineering investigations and production support by performing essential testing and analytical procedures.

Reporting to the Analytical Lab Services Manager youll apply hands-on skills and technical knowledge in a collaborative lab environment conducting both routine and specialized tests while ensuring precise documentation and data integrity. What You Will Do

• Analyze fluid properties of oils fuels and solvents using multiple analytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Perform automated and manual particle counting
• Prepare and analyze debris recovered from aerospace filter elements
• Determine thermal properties of aerospace polymers via DSC analysis
• Prepare analysis results in reports and communicating to personnel
• Ensure on-time delivery of production work and projects
• Perform activities related to general lab operations including record keeping equipment preventative maintenance and calibration 5S safety inspections and maintaining a stock of supplies and consumables.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot
• Familiarity of safety practices in a laboratory environment
• Possess strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel Word Outlook)
• Manufacturing Lab experience
• Experience utilizing various test instruments

The salary range for this role is 40000 USD - 70000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
