Job Description
Plateau GRP is seeking driven and enthusiastic Interns to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects work with experienced professionals and develop technical and soft skills in a real-world environment.
The internships will be onsite at our office in Fairfax VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining IT systems servers and network infrastructure.
- Support helpdesk operations by troubleshooting hardware software and connectivity issues.
- Participate in system upgrades patch management and routine maintenance tasks.
- Help document IT procedures configurations and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with IT staff to improve system performance and reliability.
- Assist in managing user accounts permissions and access controls.
- Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives including vulnerability assessments and compliance checks.
- Research and recommend tools or practices to enhance IT operations efficiency.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Computer Science Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows Linux) and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g. ServiceNow Jira) is a plus.
- Exposure to scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Bash Python) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving organizational and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance.
