Job Description

Unaccredited Trainee Urology (2026 Clinical Year)

Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds 50-bed Emergency Department 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU 14 fully equipped theatres with a dedicated robotic theatre featuring the latest Xi da Vinci Surgical Robotic Platform as well as hybrid theatres two cardiac catheter labs and four procedure rooms and a state of the art education and interactive SIM centre.

Northern Beaches Hospital is located in Frenchs Forest the evolving epicentre of the vibrant Northern Beaches area and just 20 minutes from Sydney CBD.

Your Role

The Urology Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for co-ordinating the care and treatment of Urology patients at Northern Beaches Hospital. He/She will work closely with VMOs the Urology SRMO and the Urology CNC. The role requires daily ward rounds and clinical assessments provision of management advice co-ordinate emergency assessment and admissions and perform emergency and elective surgical procedures required for the care and treatment of Urology patients. The Urology Unaccredited Trainee will ensure timely patient assessment admission and discharge processes. This is a challenging opportunity for a motivated and aspiring Urology Trainee to demonstrate leadership and excellence in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Your Capabilities

To be successful in this role you will meet the following Selection Criteria:

  • Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years with progress towards career goals in Urology
  • Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills judgment and expertise
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement patient safety and risk management and evidence of sound working knowledge of legal and ethical obligations governing medical practice
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team

If you are successful in the role you will receive a salary relevant to your clinical experience ranging from $98470 to $121074 per annum
