Job Title: System Engineer Heavy Engineering
Location: Kansas City MO (100% ONSITE)
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced System Architect to join our team and lead the design and integration of complex systems for heavy engineering machinery.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical/electrical systems integration product development and systems engineering within the off-highway or construction/agriculture equipment industry.
- Lead end-to-end system architecture definition for heavy engineering products ensuring alignment with business and product goals.
- Define and manage system-level requirements interfaces and functional architectures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in mechanical electrical software and controls to ensure system coherence.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for optimal system performance and reliability.
- Drive integration validation and verification activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Perform trade-off analysis risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Support system-level issue investigation and resolution in prototype and production stages.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards regulatory requirements and internal engineering processes.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and system designers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical Systems Engineering or a related field.
- 10years of experience in system architecture or systems engineering in heavy equipment automotive agricultural machinery or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle (V-model or similar).
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
- Familiarity with CAN protocols electronic control units (ECUs) and embedded system architecture.
- Proven ability to lead system-level design and manage cross-functional engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
