Job Description

Radiology/Radiation Therapy (Permanent Role)

Location: Waxahachie TX 75165
Shift: 8 HR Days-7AM 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in a timely and efficient manner according to exam protocols.
  • Use AIDET communication to interact with patients and build rapport.
  • Assess patient condition and ability to tolerate treatment.
  • Instruct and communicate with patients and families regarding procedures.
  • Prepare treatment area and position patients accurately using immobilization devices as necessary.
  • Set and adjust radiation equipment and exposure controls.
  • Adhere strictly to safety requirements infection control protocols and radiation policies.
  • Utilize proper sterile techniques and maintain hand hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment performance reporting any issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain inventory of radiation therapy supplies and report shortages.
  • Screen patients and visitors to ensure safety within the treatment environment.
  • Verify and maintain all required patient documentation and consent forms.
  • Ensure proper storage and entry of imaging records in the designated system.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists physicists and engineers as needed for optimal patient care.

  • Proficiency in performing radiation therapy independently.
  • Clear compassionate communication with patients and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize safety accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain professionalism under pressure and during patient emergencies.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through patient feedback and satisfaction.
  • Effective service delivery across age groups: newborn to geriatric.
  • Capable of administering basic first aid and using emergency equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certification: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Licensure: Must meet all state and regulatory licensure requirements.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting.
