About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Attorney to join our Insurance Defense team in Dallas. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload with a strong emphasis on insurance coverage litigation (both first- and third-party) and general insurance litigation. Youll collaborate with a team of experienced coverage attorneys handling cases across Texas and the U.S.
Core Practice Areas:
- First- and Third-Party Insurance Coverage
- Bad Faith Litigation
- General Insurance litigation
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with other attorneys and shareholders on insurance coverage matters
- Draft coverage opinions and coverage position letters
- Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on a variety of subjects
- Draft pleadings motions and handle discovery
- Communicate with clients and draft detailed reports
- Handle all aspects of litigation including depositions hearings and mediations
- Analyze insurance policies and coverage issues
- Manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines
- Participate as part of a trial team when needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the State of Texas
- 2 years of experience in insurance coverage matters
- Excellent legal research writing and analytical skills
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with a collaborative and professional demeanor
