Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Operating Room Technician who will float between units in a short-term acute care Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The position requires on-call availability weekend work and a 1:1 patient ratio. Orthopaedic and orthopaedic trauma experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Providing surgical technical assistance in the operating room.
- Assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
- Preparing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
- Sterilizing and disinfecting surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Assisting with patient positioning and draping.
- Monitoring patient vital signs during surgery.
- Assisting with post-operative care.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Floating between various units as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician.
- Experience in orthopaedic and orthopaedic trauma surgery preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- Active Washington State license (if applicable).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities are required.
- Weekend work is required.
- Shift rotation may be implemented.
- 48-hour work blocks are not approved.
- 1:1 patient ratio.
- Orthopaedic and orthopaedic trauma experience is highly preferred.
- No first-time travelers.
Scheduling:
- Schedule details are not provided but on-call weekend and rotating shifts are expected. Block scheduling is not required.
