Skill Sets for a Senior Cloud Architect
Supporting Migration from VMware Environment to OpenShift
Technical Skills
VMware Expertise: In-depth knowledge of VMware infrastructure including ESXi vCenter and related management tools.
OpenShift Proficiency: Thorough understanding of OpenShift architecture deployment and management.
Containerization: Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with major cloud providers (AWS Azure Google Cloud) and their integration with OpenShift.
Networking: Strong grasp of network protocols configuration and security within virtualized and containerized environments.
Storage Solutions: Knowledge of storage technologies and their integration with both VMware and OpenShift.
Security: Expertise in implementing security best practices in both VMware and OpenShift environments.
Migration Experience
Migration Planning: Ability to develop detailed migration plans including risk assessment timelines and resource allocation.
