Job Title: PRT EVS Teacher
Location: On-Site India
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging EVS lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes student participation and enthusiasm.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods of assessment.
- Provide individualized support to students to enhance their understanding of environmental studies.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives and programs.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities related to environmental awareness.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate them into the classroom.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued.
- Manage classroom behavior and resolve conflicts with a focus on restorative practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Encourage students to engage in hands-on environmental projects.
- Facilitate discussions and activities that promote cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching certification for primary education.
- Prior experience teaching environmental studies or related subjects.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of instructional best practices and current educational trends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students and inspire a love for learning.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and educational technology.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
- Empathy and patience in dealing with diverse student needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
- Proficient in both English and regional languages for effective communication.
- Strong passion for environmental education and advocacy.
