Job Description

Commercial Property Support Officer

The Commercial Property Support Officer is a vital member of the Commercial Property team responsible for managing valuations assets and estate functions for properties owned by the Council. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the optimal use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct residential valuations for Right to Buy applications under the Housing Act 1985.
  • Produce professional valuation reports for council-owned residential properties.
  • Prepare lease plans for Right to Buys Freehold sales and Leasehold Reform Act.
  • Review and approve third-party desktop Right to Buy Valuations efficiently.
  • Provide advice and valuations for housing rents as required.
  • Assist in preparing capital and revenue estimates for property acquisition disposal and leasing.
  • Coordinate inspections and gather necessary information by liaising with internal teams and tenants.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and valuation best practices.

Resources and Financial Management:

  • Manage financial resources effectively control costs and maximize income in a dynamic environment with fluctuating demands and priorities.
  • Deploy resources efficiently to assure value for money in all activities.

Requirements


  • Proven experience in property valuation and estate management.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory obligations and valuation best practices.
  • Excellent financial management skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in property valuation or a related field.


Requirements: Proven experience in social care quality assurance and improvement. In-depth knowledge of social care regulations, policies, and procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certification or training in quality assurance and improvement is a plus.
