Job Description Maintenance Technician
We need your talent your ideas and your commitment to fuel the companys growth and help build an exceptional region.
Brigil is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician in the Ottawa area under the supervision of the Building Manager the main responsibilities of the Maintenance Employee are:
Ensure exceptional customer service on a daily basis;
Take care of maintenance and minor interior and exterior repairs to the building and apartments;
Carry out repairs plumbing and electrical work;
Garbage collection inside and outside the building grounds;
Ensure that sidewalks and doorways are cleared of snow in a safe manner;
Inform the manager of any anomaly or breakage that could compromise safety;
Receive emergency calls (available evenings and weekends) and take action accordingly;
Follow and document the buildings preventive maintenance schedule;
Supervise the work of various subcontractors as required;
Order and retrieve necessary materials from suppliers;
Closely monitor inventory of all materials;
Any other related tasks requested
Example of work required:
Repairing locks and doors; repairing faucets and toilets; repairing cabinet doors and hinges; replacing electrical outlets or light fixtures; installing gypsum and paint; installing ceramic tiles flooring molding; silicone; in an emergency finding the source of the problem and solving it etc.
Requirements for this position:
High school diploma (asset);
At least 2 years relevant experience in construction work and/or building maintenance;
Good knowledge of plumbing electricity and carpentry;
Ability to work independently and professionally;
Bilingual
