The Facilities Manager will have experience in planning coordinating and delivering works and technical upgrades across a premium commercial property portfolio. The role also includes providing technical and customer focussed skills for our valued Client. This role sits within a collaborative operational team as part of a cross-functional group supporting operational and project-based outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning coordinating and delivering upgrades refurbishments and infrastructure replacement projects from initial concept to project close-out.
- Assist in development of detailed scopes of work performance criteria and project schedules in consultation with the Technical Services Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in the full contract lifecycle including tendering onboarding milestone tracking and contract close-out.
- Interface with the Senior Facilities Manager and operational team to ensure alignment between Capital works and day-to-day facilities operations.
- Monitor project impact on building performance and support sustainability goals (e.g. Green Star WELL NABERS ratings water and energy efficiency upgrades).
- Assist to manage and supervise the performance of all project contractors and consultants on site ensuring WHS compliance adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Ensure all works meet statutory and regulatory compliance under the NCC WHS legislation Australian Standards and local authority requirements.
- Maintain risk assessments safety documentation related to all projects and building services works.
- Coordinate required inspections signoffs certifications and defect rectifications.
- Assist the Team in delivering high quality facility management services on behalf of our client at to a Premium Grade standard of property portfolio.
Qualifications :
Skills and experience you will bring to the role include:
- Minimum 5 years experience with building services facility management or technical project delivery ideally within commercial property including end-to-end contract development and management from initiation to completion.
- Strong understanding of base building services including HVAC BMS fire systems hydraulics vertical transport and general compliance.
- Demonstrated experience with consultants and contractors in a live operational environment.
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities across projects while maintaining strong tenant and stakeholder relationships.
- Working knowledge of WHS regulations NCC and Australian building codes and standards.
- Proficient in project coordination tools and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office Procore Aconex).
- Clear professional written and verbal communication skills.
