Job Description

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead our packaging category across the EAME region. In this role you will be ensuring total control of spending through proper commercial strategies while developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives that drive value and competitive advantage. Working within the Europe Direct Procurement Team you will collaborate with counterparts within the regions and in headquarters ensuring common strategies standards and the establishment of a regional organization with global alignment. You will lead cross-functional projects partnering with Supply Chain Packaging Technology and other key stakeholders to deliver best-in-class procurement performance.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities include but are not limited to;

  • Deliver cost savings and value optimization across $35M packaging spend
  • Be an ambassador of the procurement organization
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) with focus on quality and on-time-in-full (QOTIF) delivery metrics
  • Lead and support the management of strategic supplier relationships (ex.: negotiation of major contracts contract performance etc.)
  • Develop and implement category sourcing strategies
  • Manage the risks associated with assigned supplier and product base

Qualifications and required experience

  • CIPS level 4 or equivalent
  • Solid work experience gained in a procurement environment ideally in the chemical /agricultural / pharmaceutical industry
  • Background working in a highly matrixed multi-national organisation working within multi-cultural teams with a good understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain operations
  • Practical knowledge of SAP procurement-related modules
  • Ability to work independently and to a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and people skills to influence stakeholders strategically
  • Fluent in written & verbal English a second language is a plus
