Job Description
Our energy team is growing! We are seeking to speak with Electrical Engineers with Renewable Energy experience for a position in our Melbourne Team. As part of our high performing Energy team you will be actively involved in a highly motivated and innovative team of energy professionals. The team is currently delivering a range of projects including owners engineer grid connection and project management roles as well as front-end work such as site identification and evaluation feasibility studies concept design and grid connection studies associated with future generation and storage projects.
What will a day in this role look like:
- Be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for renewable facilities including wind solar and battery storage facilities amongst other emerging technologies.
- Use your project management experience to oversee projects whilst reviewing and signing off on concept designs for power generation facilities on projects across Victoria.
- Act as technical leaders for the development of specifications whilst working with Senior Leadership Team with key clients and stakeholders.
- Act as a part of Owners Engineer team on projects to ensure the project is delivered according to the clients requirements. Provide technical advice and use your project management experience to advise on project timelines schedule budget contractor management and risk management.

What are we looking for from you
- Ideally candidates will have 3 years experience as an Electrical Engineer in the renewable energy sector either owner/client side or working for a consultancy (preferred) with a track record of project management experience.
- Electrical Engineering degree with relevant experience knowledge of Australian standards and projects. RPEV (or ability to obtain) is important given the nature of this role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients contractors consultants and internal stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Proven knowledge of the major power generation technologies and the major equipment OEMs and plant suppliers.
- Ideally candidates will have exposure to HOMER and PVsyst. Experience with windPRO is advantageous but not essential.
