We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Software Architect / Senior Software Engineer to join our embedded software development team in Coimbatore. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the architecture and design of complex embedded systems working on challenging projects that impact various industries.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Architecture and Design:
Define and document software architectures for embedded systems considering performance safety security and maintainability.
Create high-level and detailed software designs.
Select appropriate technologies and frameworks.
Ensure alignment with overall system architecture and project requirements.
Development and Implementation:
Develop high-quality reusable and maintainable code.
Implement and integrate software modules.
Follow coding standards and best practices.
Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.
Technical Leadership:
Guide and mentor junior software engineers.
Provide technical expertise and support to the team.
Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams (hardware testing etc.).
Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Participate in project planning and status meetings.
Qualifications :
Educational qualification:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Experience :
10 years of experience in embedded software development for Automotive Consumer Electronics or MedTech.
Mandatory/requires Skills :
Strong understanding of embedded systems architectures and design principles.
Expertise in C/C programming for embedded systems.
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g. CAN SPI I2C).
Experience with software design patterns and architectural principles.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with automotive software development processes (e.g. ASPICE).
Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC 61508).
Experience with model-based design and development.
Knowledge of specific microcontroller architectures.
